Group Classes

If you are looking for a fun way to add extra movement to your day make sure to check out our group classes! We offer small group Spin classes with amazing power meter technology that will allow you to train smarter not harder, while still enjoying the perks of burning as many calories as possible! In addition, we offer a functional and strength group class that will bring all of your strength training together while increasing your heart rate!

Modifications are available to ensure that everyone can participate and see results.

All group classes are programmed for 60mins and include:

  • Myofascial release

  • Warmup

  • 30-45 min of training time

  • Proper cool down and stretch

Powerlifting Programming

The sole purpose of powerlifting programming is to get stronger in three major and specific movements which are squat, bench, and deadlifts (conventional or sumo style). If the athlete chooses, it will also prepare you for powerlifting meets. Programming includes:

  • Weekly programming via email which details your sets, reps, and weight increments

  • Accessory exercises carefully selected to work on specific areas of opportunity

  • Opportunity to submit videos to coach for feedback on but not limited to form, technique, and progress



Personal Training Sessions

These 60 min personal training sessions allow you to work on a 1on1 level with your trainer so that every minute is invested into your progress and your progress alone. Your sessions include:

  • Functional movement exercises

  • Dynamic warm-up routine

  • Depending on fitness goal variations of:

-weight loss specialization exercises

-stabilization training exercises

-Strength training exercises

  • Cool down and stretching routine


Recovery

Many times, we focus strictly on training and constantly placing more demand on our bodies that we neglect other factors such as rest and recovery. 

At Uplifting vGym, we make sure you are aware of its importance, but we don’t stop there.  We provide access to one of the best physical therapists in Chicago! 

Erica has been working with many of our athletes and have assisted tremendously in the prevention of injury and overtraining.

Services include but not limited to:

  • Graston technique

  • Cupping

  • Dry needling

Introductory Session

Our introductory session allows your trainer to learn what is important to you and combined with their expertise, develop a personalized program to help you achieve your fitness goal. 

This 60 min session includes:

  • Review of current activity level, medical history as well as why your fitness goal is important

  • You will be walked through a simple functional movement screening to see how well you currently move to establish a baseline for your training program.

  •  Depending on fitness goal, nutritional habits may be discussed as well as having your measurements taken
